THCA stands tetrahydrocannabinolic acid. It’s the raw precursor to traditional THC, but made from federally legal hemp plants. This origin is important as it’s not made from marijuana, still one of the nation’s controlled substances. Once heated, however, these high THCA strains convert to pure THC and offer the same psychoactive high that THC is known for.
