Previously, TSA rules banned all “marijuana and cannabis-infused products.” But, after the 2018 Farm Bill, they’ve updated their rules and consider hemp products with less than 0.3% THC or FDA-approved products to be legal.
Federal law specifies that hemp products made with hemp derivatives, such as cannabinoids, isomers, terpenes, and other extracts with less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC content, are federally legal.
That means that Delta-8 is a legal hemp product, and there’s nothing in federal law that prevents you from carrying Delta-8 THC on the plane.
The TSA’s screening procedures usually focus on weapons, not drugs, so they don’t really care about the cannabis products you might have. If they find illicit substances in your bags, they pass it over to local law enforcement.
